Our Stream Approach

In 2007, a Carnegie Foundation commission of accomplished researchers and experts found that a nation’s capacity to innovate and thrive in the modern workforce depends on a foundation of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning. The research is quite clear that the best practice in early childhood education is to break away from passive instruction and allow for more play and investigation. This kind of learning early in life builds the confidence and strength of character children need to blossom. Lilian G. Katz, in STEM in the Early Years, lays out a case that the best practice for early education is to allow students to be active, engaged, and take initiative in STEM learning for personal development and long-term academic success.
Based on the above research, we created what we call the STREAM curriculum specifically designed for infants and toddlers. The first of its kind in the region, our STREAM curriculum combines traditional areas of development such as Reading, Arts, and Math with more relevant concepts such as Science, Technology, and Engineering through play and social interaction.
Infants
We provide a nurturing environment with a focus on healthy social and emotional interaction, motor skills, and sign language.

Toddlers
We focus on social skills, motor control, independence, problem solving and thinking skills, as well as second languages (Arabic and French) through our play-based STREAM curriculum and classroom rotations.
Pre-K students
We continue to focus on the development of problem solving and thinking skills, language and reading skills, everyday numeracy skills through our STREAM curriculum and classroom rotations.

FS 1
We continue to develop problem-solving and thinking skills with an increased focus on school readiness.
